Premier Motor Factors Help Pages

These help pages are designed as a guide only

While we acknowledge that there are a lot of people who now want to save money by doing minor repairs to their vehicles themselves we also know from experience that if you have little or no experience of working on cars then you can very easily get into a lot of problems very quickly. We have compiled these help pages to point you in the right direction however sometimes it is easier and cheaper in the long run to employ a qualified professional, particularly if you are not sure exactly what the problem with your vehicle is.

A few minutes on the telephone could save you hours of trouble.

If you are unsure about the parts fitted to your car then PLEASE call us first; we get dozens of items sent back to us just because the customer has mis-read or misinterpreted the information in the catalogues, for example your car may have three different sets of brake pads listed for the front brakes of your car - this usually means that there is a choice of braking systems and they are not interchangeable.

If your car has an ATE braking system then you can not fit parts made for, for example, Brembo systems. Most of our items have photos or technical drawings, often with dimensions, so that you can compare them to the parts fitted on your car.

We are here to help and advise you as much as we can

Our staff have many years of combined experience in the motor trade and will be pleased to help and advise you, however please remember that we are not mechanics and we can not diagnose problems on your car. If in doubt consult a qualified mechanic who can diagnose the problem for you then contact us for the required parts. If you are not sure what the fault is on your car then you may be replacing good parts unnecessarily.

If you fit a new part to your vehicle and the fault remains then it is usually because you have mis-diagnosed the fault.
