Common Faults
Pulling to One Side While Driving
There can be several reasons for this and not all of them are related to the steering. Low or uneven tyre pressure, uneven tyre wear and maladjusted wheel alignment are quite common. A sticking front brake calier can also cause this, particularly when braking. Steering components, from the steering rack to the ball joints or track conrol arm bushed could be worn and have excessive play.
Wheel shimmy
Unevenly worn tyres or an out-of-balance wheel are very common, as is excessive play in the steering rack, linkages or ball joints.
